Vision
This page describes an early vision for Oro Lumo. It is an experiment and a set of ideas, and it is not a live service. There are no prices, payments or offers here.
Oro Lumo is a personal prototype project by Michael Ten. Its purpose is to help springboard his other projects and speed up the work on them.
Agent to Agent
A software agent is a program that acts for a person. One idea to explore is agents that find each other, share knowledge and trade small services over open payment systems that anyone can use. One example is x402, which uses the HTTP 402 “Payment Required” status, a long reserved web response code, so that an agent can learn the price of something, pay for it and then receive it. Portable reputation would let an agent carry a record of past good work from one place to another.
Open source software has code that anyone can read, use and improve. The open source building blocks of interest here are OrbitDB, a database that computers share directly without a central server; IPFS, a way to store and share files by what they contain; Arweave, a network designed for permanent storage; and local AI, meaning AI models that run on your own computer.
Business to Agent
Tenoorja Musubi, the hub where Michael Ten is director, works toward mutually beneficial relationships with artists, authors and developers. Later, their work could become discoverable and licensable by agents, so that an agent could find a book, a song or a piece of software and see how the creator wants it used and credited.
Agent to Consumer
The third piece is agents that help people directly. A person facing a problem in living, such as learning a new skill or organizing a daily routine, could ask an agent for help and be pointed straight to useful knowledge, books, music and tools. The aim is abundance for all, where good resources are easy for anyone to reach.
A Knowledge Layer
The plan is to build on decentralized wikis, meaning wikis that do not rely on a single server. These wikis would be content addressed, which means each version of a page gets an identifier made from its own contents, so anyone can confirm that a copy is unchanged. The starting point is IdeaWaza, which is running now, and permanent copies may come later. Paid wiki agents are only a possible future idea.
Values
Freedom tech means tools that give people more control over their own data, identity and choices. User ownership means people can keep, move and copy what they create. Open source keeps the code public so anyone can check it. Post-scarcity describes a future where basic needs and good information are plentiful enough for everyone. These values come from the mission of Tenoorja Musubi, which describes itself as a manifestation of Tenqido.
How Oro Lumo Helps the Other Projects
Oro Lumo is meant to be a small testbed and a front door. As a testbed, it is a place to try ideas at a small scale. As a front door, it connects visitors to Tenoorja Musubi, IdeaWaza and Idea Riff, so that each project is easier to find. The Reading List gathers related articles.
